2003 Founding of VTCF by John
Garofalo, Dr. Jack McFarland, Elise Menashe, and Steve Busick
2003 Fundraiser at the home of Dr. Jack and Stephanie
McFarland
2000-present “Tennis 4 Kids” founded by Kevin Young,
former VTC director and Arlene Clark, USPTA. This 501 © (3)
organization was incorporated into VTCF in 2003.
2004 Contributed $8000 (50% of the cost) for repainting the
exterior of the tennis and racquet ball facilities
2005 Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) acquired with
a grant ($2100) through the efforts of Dr. Calvin Clark and
Dave Kelly. All VTC Staff is updated annually on the use of the
AED and CPR.
2006-2007 “Concert for Courts” at the home of
Michele and John Rudi raised $7295 for the VTC lobby and balcony
furniture.
2008 “The Tennis Ball” held at Water Resources Center
raised $8000 for the replacement of the balcony railing. *****Note:
This project is still pending.
2009 VTCF Website—designed and activated by Travis Rood,
USPTA. Currently maintained by Greg Conn. Go to

2009 Dartfish Computer Program
purchased for $2520. Program used for advanced teaching and
analysis of tennis strokes.
2010 Hallway LARGE bulletin boards purchased and
installed, to better keep patrons informed of activities and
programs available.
2011 “Courts and Cocktails” held at the home of VTC
member, Dick Hannah. $15,000 raised for “Tennis 4 Kids”, and
VTC facility enhancements. Note******Enhancements to
facility pending.
